Varney strives for the highest safety standards that can be achieved.  
Varney is dedicated to: providing a safe and healthful environment for employees and customers; protecting the public; and preserving our property and assets.

Injuries can be prevented. Varney believes that it takes a team effort and an effective safety and compliance program to achieve an incident free workplace. All practical steps are taken to maintain safe workplaces for our employees.

Varney has a comprehensive Safety and Hazardous Communication Program that emphasizes safety training and education. Safety education of all workers is conducted throughout all phases of a job. Our job superintendents receive 10-Hour OSHA certification training and First Aid/CPR certification training. Specialized training is performed on a regular basis in the areas of Hot Work, Lock-out Tag-Out, Scaffold Erection, Confined Space,  Excavations, Mechanized Equipment, to name a few. Our Employee Safety Handbook training is conducted annually with each and every employee.
